If you are a french person and you have a hard time for people to understand you when you use a word starting with a “h”, here is the an exercise for you (and me).
Practice by pretending to blow air on a cold window in winter for fogging it up. The heavy exhale of air is the same muscle group you are going to use to pronounce the sound that “h” makes.
Another exercise is to say “hot air balloon”.
Remark: to say the letter “h” (eg when you spell a word) it is said the same way as it sounds. The way to say the letter sounds like the beginning of “eight” or “ate” (ay) and the end of “each” (ch). Prounce ay-ch.
